LayTools Support

TexEDA Design Inc. offers a comprehensive support program for users who elect to purchase an annual maintenance package for the products they license. TexEDA's sister company, Matricus Inc., has used LayTools extensively over the past fifteen years in its own IC design activities and is well qualified to add an additional level of experience in assisting TexEDA answer any detailed questions or resolve complex issues concerning installation or operation.

The purchase price of the software (which is provided with a perpetual license) includes the first year's maintenance. Leasing and lease-purchase payment methods are also available

LayTools Maintenance

The initial year’s maintenance is included in the purchase price. Thereafter, the maintenance cost per year is 15% of the listed purchase price at the time of renewal for each module.

A maintenance package may only be purchased for all products owned by the user and the above rate only applies if the period of maintenance is uninterrupted.

Maintenance includes full monitoring of the latest product release with bug fixes and at least two major upgrades to the software each year.

LayTools Support/Training

Support in the US on all matters associated with the software is available from TexEDA Design from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST/CDT Monday-Friday via e-mail, telephone, or fax.

Support in the Far East is provided directly by AVANT Technology Inc.

Support for users in Europe is provided by TexEDA Design GmbH.

Support that requires investigation by the software developer may not provide an immediate answer, however indication of the nature of the issue will generally be provided within 24 hours.
